Artwork Guidelines
At PRINTUNING KFT., we want to ensure that your custom designs look stunning on your chosen products. To help you achieve the best print quality, we’ve outlined the following artwork guidelines. Please review these carefully before submitting your design files to avoid any delays or issues.

1. Preferred File Formats
For optimal print quality, we recommend submitting artwork in vector format.
The best file formats include:  PDF, EPS, AI (Adobe Illustrator)
These formats preserve the quality of your design regardless of the size, making them ideal for printing.

2. Text Handling
If your design includes text, please follow these guidelines to avoid font issues:
* Convert Text to Curves/Outlines: Convert all text to curves or outlines to avoid font substitution. This ensures that the text will look exactly as intended, no matter what fonts the printer has installed.
* Alternatively, Embed Fonts: If you can’t convert text to outlines, embedding the fonts will also help preserve your design’s integrity.

3. Image Resolution
For non-vector graphics (such as images in JPG, PNG, or PSD formats), we ask that all files meet the following resolution requirements:
* Minimum 300 DPI (dots per cm): Ensure all images and graphics are at least 300dpi for the best print quality. Images with lower resolution will appear pixelated or blurry when printed.
* Avoid Low-Resolution Images: If your design looks pixelated on screen, it will likely look poor when printed. Use vector-based graphics whenever possible, as they can be scaled without losing quality.

4. Color Format
* CMYK Color Mode: For accurate color reproduction, please submit your artwork in CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) color format. This is the standard for print and will ensure the colors match your expectations.
* RGB to CMYK Conversion: If you submit artwork in RGB format (used for screens), it will be converted to CMYK before printing. This conversion can sometimes cause color shifts, so we strongly recommend using CMYK to ensure color accuracy.

5. Bleed and Margins
To ensure your design fits correctly on the product, please follow these guidelines:
* Add Bleed: Include a 3mm bleed around your artwork. Bleed is the area around the edges of your design that will be trimmed off, ensuring that the print extends all the way to the edge of the product without any white borders.
* Safe Zone: Keep important elements like text and logos within the safe zone, at least 5mm from the edge. This will prevent them from being accidentally cut off during the printing process.

6. File Size and Compression
* Keep File Sizes Manageable: While we accept high-resolution files, please ensure your file size is not excessively large. If your file is too large, it may cause difficulties during the upload process or affect printing quality.
* Avoid Excessive Compression: If you’re submitting raster files (like JPG or PNG), make sure they are not over-compressed. Excessive compression can degrade image quality.

7. Transparency
If your design includes transparent elements, please ensure that:
* The file format you submit supports transparency (e.g., PNG, PSD, AI, PDF).
* Transparent areas will be printed as-is (i.e., no background will be added). If a solid background is required, please add it manually.

8. Additional Tips for Best Results
* Use High-Quality Graphics: Always use high-quality, crisp images and avoid low-resolution clipart or logos.
* Double-Check for Errors: Before submitting your design, double-check for spelling mistakes, design errors, or alignment issues.
* Preview the Print Area: We recommend reviewing your design on the product preview tool to ensure everything is positioned correctly.

9. What Happens if My Artwork Doesn’t Meet These Guidelines?
If your artwork doesn’t meet the above guidelines, we will reach out to you for adjustments. However, please note that any required changes may delay the production of your order. To avoid delays, please ensure that your design follows the recommended guidelines.
